Our purpose in life

Moms, raising our kids is NOT our purpose. That's our ministry. Don't confuse the two.


Our purpose is not our calling or our ministry. That's just our job -- something He has entrusted us with, but we were not made specifically for that. When it comes to calling, we can always be replaced. God did not create Noah to build the ark. He found Noah to be the only righteous man left at that time. Don't mix our calling with our purpose. Many are called but few are chosen. They may not be chosen but that doesn't mean that they will not have a purpose anymore.


Worshipping God is not our purpose either. It's what we do -- even the stones cry out -- but we were not created specifically for that -- He didn't just create us so He can have more worship -- He had plenty of angels to worship Him already.


Having dominion on this earth is not our purpose either, but it is our responsibility. Our kid's responsibility is to clean their room but we didn't bring them into this world so they can clean their room. We brought them into this world so we can have sons and daughters that we can have a relationship with and THIS is the same reason why God created us.


God created us to first have a relationship with Him. He wanted children, so He created us in His image -- in the image of God. And He would spend time, everyday, with Adam and Eve, chatting with them and building that relationship with them.


So our main purpose in life is to have a relationship with God. Nothing else is more important and without fulfilling that purpose, you will always have an emptiness in your heart.


It is impossible to have a relationship with anyone if we cannot communicate with that person. Prayer is a two-way communication platform. When we talk to God, we need to hear His reply. The Holy Spirit speaks all the time but we need to listen.


So, our purpose is to have a relationship with God. Which can only be achieved through communication with God. 


And if you cannot hear the voice of God everyday, and if you do not communicate with Him all the time, you are not fulfilling your purpose. What do we do with a pen that can't write? We either refill it or discard it. So what is your life worth without a relationship with God? It's worth nothing. What if you can't hear God speaking to you? You don't have a real relationship with God -- it's a one-sided relationship. If you can't hear God, it means He's sending you messages you never open.


When you die and go to Heaven, it all comes down to whether or not we have a relationship with Him:


Matthew 7:23a

"And then I will declare to them, ‘I never KNEW you; depart from Me.."


God knows everything so when He says He never KNEW us, He means personally. The actual word means intimacy.

Lazy teens

A teen is not a kid anymore. Then again, boys mature about 3 years slower, so just take that into account.  When faced with lazy teens, we need to find out the root issue — is it a spirit of laziness? It has to be addressed. He needs to know that it is a spirit and not him. And that he has to fight it. And what happens when spirits like that are not warded off. And how they can ultimately possess a person when entertained and given into. If it’s not laziness, it is a lack of motivation. What do they really have in mind that is really bothering them or they are inspired about and work on that.

Woman Leadership

I am convinced of God’s call upon my life. And am prepared to do anything He asks me to do, whether I receive approval from anyone or not.  It’s so important to read the Bible in context and to know the history of Corinth and how the women in their temples were prostitutes calling the men to have sex with them as part of their religious ceremony; and how they thought the church would be the same. That’s why the women there were asked to keep quiet. I am a woman pastor. I am ordained and I am a woman. God calls whom He wills. When God first created the world, He made man and woman equal.
