Jewish Feasts - To Celebrate or Not To Celebrate?

 Question:

I'd like to hear from those of you who keep the Jewish feasts. What denomination are you, what are your reasons, do you still celebrate the "regular" holidays? Also interested in any resources you might have on the topic.

Answer:

Yes, we celebrate both Jewish and mainstream, except Halloween. We are interdenominational, apostolic and prophetic. Also, we celebrate Passover and Resurrection Sunday instead of Easter.

The reason is because God says so. Exodus 12:14, 17, 24. Leviticus 23:41

New Testament:  https://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/booklets/gods-holy-day-plan-the-promise-of-hope-for-all-mankind/gods-festivals-in-the-new-testament

And the reason why the Jewish feasts were removed was because of Constantine. He removed all the Jewish feasts because he blamed the Jews for murdering Jesus and wanted nothing to do with them. Today, we know that is so wrong. Jesus Himself is a Jew.

I’m sorry it’s a wiki but it sums up everything:

Previously "forced" to get baptized and speak in tongues?

Get baptized again. Nothing wrong with that. At least this time, it's from your heart. You don't HAVE to speak in tongues immediately. But some people learn by following others first, that's possible, not always the case. Some just get it without anyone teaching them. But no, it's not mocking to teach it. Everyone is different, that's all. But the question now is whether you want to learn to speak in tongues or not. I believe God created tongues for us to use, and He had a reason for it. Romans 8:26 "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." What probably should have been done is to first share with you the main reason for baptism. John 1:4-5 "John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. 5 Then all the land of Judea, and those from Jerusalem, ...

Passover

Tell them about how Easter started — the goddess Eostre, the goddess of spring and fertility, and how it represents Easter eggs and bunnies and why we don’t celebrate it.  And that we celebrate Passover with lambs because Jesus is the Lamb of God and celebrated the Passover. And how Passover was taken away because the Jews were blamed for killing Jesus so everything Jewish was removed by Constantine - including all the other important feasts we were supposed to celebrate. Although the Apostle Paul himself celebrated the Passover (1 Cor 5:6-8), and said Christ is our Passover, asking us to “Keep the Feast of the Passover”. The rest of the early church kept the Passover. So we celebrate the Passover with Jesus as the Lamb, and the afikoman that was hidden signifies Jesus body that was broken because it was the afikoman that Jesus took and said, “this is my body that was broken..”. It was ‘after the feast’ that he ‘took the bread’. That bread is called the afikoman — the last bread af...
