Your daughter/son needs to learn to pray and hear from God on their own. If they can't provide evidence that it is God's will, they should refrain until both of them can provide such evidence.
If they can't hear from God, that's something to be concerned about because if we can't hear God, we don't have a relationship with God because no one can have a relationship with anyone without two-way communication.
