Put a price on it and ask yourself if you're willing to pay that amount -- use this for deciding how much to sell it for and whether you'll keep it or sell it.


E.g. I see a candlestick - would I pay $3 for this? 

No? Ok, it's for sale for $3.


Yes, I'm willing to pay $3. But I won't be willing to pay $5 for this. So it's on sale for $5.
