Am I in a cult?

Question: It's led by a prophet who makes rules. My Answer: I attended a short course on this. First of all, a cult adds or subtracts to the Word of God.  Matthew 5  “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  So as long as the Bible you are using is a normal one like KJV, NKJV, NIV, etc. you should be fine. There are still prophets today. John the Baptist was not the last. Way after John the Baptist, this is what Paul says: 1 Corinthians 12:28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracl...

Christian Parents not into politics

First of all, we are not the Holy Spirit. They are the parents and not the other way around. We can't correct, just pray for your parents and allow the Holy Spirit to do all that convicting. So don't talk to them about politics if they told you not to and haven't reach the stage where they are convicted about it -- and no, it is not your job to convict them about anything.

People falling down when prayed for

It's called 'slain'. And it should only happen when the power of God hits you, not because you want to or because everyone else is doing it or because someone pushed you. When it happens, you wouldn't be able to withstand it. John 14:12 12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 18:6 6 Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

What you doing for Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah means a new season for us. This year, we will be starting a church. New beginnings.  Where kids are concerned, a new school year for all my kids -- another level up. And a new season means room makeovers. Give away clothes that are too small. A great time to declutter the old.  Spiritually, we need to set aside a Holy Day (Holiday) for the Lord meaning worship and prayer but with lots of shofar blowing. As for food, apples and honey again I guess.. still better than candy. I wouldn't mind ice cream and chocolate and all things sweet 🧁

You can still go to hell

Is this all it takes to be a Christian: 1 - confess that Jesus is lord  2 - that he died for my sins 3 - that God is a Trinity  4 - be baptised  5 - accept Jesus as my saviour  6 - that the Bible is 100% truth and 100% inspired by God  My answer: Pretty much yes to all those things but that doesn't necessarily make you a Christian.... You can do all that and still go to hell.. you need to have a personal relationship with Christ and He needs to be Lord over your life. Lip serving without a sincere heart doesn't mean anything. God sees your heart. Some people say the sinner's prayer and think they're saved forever because they simply chanted a few magic words. It doesn't work like that at all. It's a love relationship with Someone who can see right through you. A lot of Christians still think they're Christians. You need to be born again. If you think you've said a prayer of repentance and accept Jesus into your heart, that you're a Christian, my firs...
