Perhaps it is a Bible School class and those that attend get credits toward their certificate? No idea but don't be too quick to judge. There is one law giver who is able to save and to destroy. Who are we to judge another?
James 4:12
This is a masterclass, after all, not designed for the baptism of the spirit of lay people, but rather for pastors and ministers who want to conduct courses in this area.
I have been to Revival meetings at Revival City Centre where they freely baptise in the spirit without asking for anything. Read the course topics carefully to know the difference. Those registering are in that line of work and are doing this as part of their occupation.
Some people think that just because it is not a hired venue, that there are no expenses involved. But if you see the costs involved for electricity alone for one hour in a large hall like this with that many lights plus costs to run the air cond, you would understand that there are very high costs indeed. And being a masterclass means that it is focused to a niche market, so they're not expecting many to turn up. Divide the costs accordingly.
If you still have issues after careful consideration, please feel free to contact that church or David Hall himself rather than trying to post it in a public Christian group, where some members of the group may be very young Christians or not born again at all.
The Church is divided as it is. So remember -- the greatest persecutor of the church is the church.
